Stainless Steel Robot-Welding

One of VDL Systems’ specialties is welding stainless steel assemblies, machines and modules. Additional to our advanced welding workshop with professional welders, we can also utilize our welding robot for welding stainless steel assemblies. The robotic installation with double drawn manipulators is connected to a CMT (Cold Metal Transfer) welding source. This welding technology allows us to weld stainless steel products with very low heat input, preventing the always recurring problem of product deformation.

Moreover, this welding technology can weld using TIG and MIG allowing us to weld both thicke and thin plate constructions. The maximum product intake between the manipulators is 2.500 mm with a radius of 750 mm.

VDL Systems will also take care of the mold design inhouse. Molds will be fully constructed in 3D so that the weldabiliy and the manufacturability can be pre-assessed, even during design phase.
